Eric Salinas Eliminated in 27th Place

Event 14: $1,500 + $150 No-Limit Hold'em

There was a battle of the short stacks at Table 2, as Eric Salinas was all in with A-J against the 8-8 of Dennis Summers. The bad news for Summers is that two other players at the table said they both folded an eight, so if Salinas flopped a pair, he would have no redraws to a set.

The flop came Q-J-3 with two spades, and Salinas took the lead with a pair of jacks. But Summers is the only one with a spade in his hands -- and he catches a runner-runner flush to win the pot. Eric Salinas is eliminated in 27th place, earning $3,306, while Summers improves his stack to about 135,000.
