Fashionably Late

Event 16: $1,000 + $90 6-Hand Max NL

Bonita "Set"-ting up for a Big Day

He doesn't use a Phil Hellmuth entourage when arriving at a big tournament, but Chris Bonita (Winthrop, MA) does follow the 11 time WSOP bracelet winner's lead when it comes to showing-up late.

Bonita, who already has two cashes in this Borgata Poker Open, didn't arrive until the third level (75/150), but quickly doubles his stack. On his third hand of the day, Bonita flops a set of 10s, bets every street and doubles his stack as his opponent mucks on the river.

Bonita, who finished 10th in the Deep Stack Turbo (Event 2), says he'd like to develop a Hellmuthian like brigade. "I tried, but nobody will follow."

Level 6 (200/400/50 ante) continues.
