Money Bubble: 37 Left

Event 14: $1,500 + $150 No-Limit Hold'em

With 40 players left, it's time to take a break, but Gavin Smith and Allan Vrooman are still involved in a pot. After a flop of 1022, Gavin checks the big blind, Vrooman bets 14,000 from the cutoff, and Gavin check-raises to 51,000. Vrooman moves all in, and Gavin insta-calls with A2 for trip deuces. Vrooman shows KK for an overpair, and he'll need to improve to stay alive. The turn is the 2, the river is the 10, and Gavin Smith wins the pot with quad deuces to bust Allan Vrooman. That pot takes Gavin up to about 270,000.

So there are 39 players left at the break, and here are some of the notable chip counts at that point:

David Diaz - 430,000
Joanne Monteavaro - 390,000
Andrew Youngblood - 308,000
Chris Back - 305,000
Andrew Dykeman - 292,000
Jason Dewitt - 275,000
Gavin Smith - 270,000
Leonard Cortellino - 250,000
Dale Pinchot - 178,000
Shawn Busse - 174,000
Adam Ehrlich - 170,000
Mike Beasley - 166,500
Mike Summers - 155,000
Gary Lobello - 154,000
Petros Uyanik - 135,000
Roy Winston - 125,000
Sean Wallace - 93,000
Brian Lemke - 70,000
"Action" Bob Hwang - 58,000
Maria Ho - 57,000
Josh Brikis - 53,000
Steve Dannenmann - 50,000
Kevin Calenzo - 20,200

When play resumed, the blinds increased to 2,500-5,000 with a 400 ante. Within the first few minutes, shortest stack Kevin Calenzo was eliminated in 39th place.

Moments later, Brian Lemke was all in under the gun with AK against Shawn Busse's AQ in the small blind. The board came 106238, and Lemke took the pot with his king kicker to double up to about 150,000.

A few minutes later, Maria Ho was all in from the button with 87 against Dale Pinchot's AK in the small blind. The board came AQ3J6, and Maria Ho was eliminated in 38th place. Dale Pinchot moved up to about 225,000.

With 37 players remaining, the field begins hand-for-hand play.

In one of the first hands on the bubble, Gavin Smith played a big pot against Gary Lobello. The board showed K4279 with about 100,000 in the pot, Lobello checked the big blind, Gavin bet 52,500, and Lobello folded. Gavin took the pot, increasing his stack to about 320,000.

Gavin Smith - 320,000
Dale Pinchot - 225,000
Gary Lobello - 154,000
Brian Lemke - 150,000
