Recap for Event 6: $250 + $30 No Limit Hold'em

It was a long day for all players that made the final table in Event 6: $250 + $30 No Limit Hold'em. 453 players bought it at 12PM, and though the money bubble burst at around 10PM, it wasn't until after 2AM when the final table was reached. While the other event was bagging their chips for day 2, this event was scheduled to play down to a winner in 1 day. It would take over three more hours until a champion was crowned.

In the end, Andrew Badecker from Vernon, CT won $28,067 and the title after being the short stack for some time when playing five handed. Badecker generously used the words "all in" as his weekend roommate at Borgata, Jon McCard, watched on. McCard himself got 12th place in this event, and both players were seated at the same table for a stretch.

Badecker, 23, plays poker for a living, but his Borgata finish today is his biggest live cash in the databases to date. At last year's Borgata Poker Open, Badecker finished 5th in a $1,500 event for $21,420.

Though it was nearing 5AM when Badecker finally left the Event Center, Badecker plans to be back at 11am for Event 7: $350 + $50 Deep Stack No Limit Hold'Em. Either way, Badecker and McCard plan to return to Borgata again next weekend, hoping to have similar success that he did today.
